Electrical wholesalers by city
Most people don't search by state. They search by city. This index covers the 39 Australian metro areas where we list electrical wholesalers, from the capitals down to the regional centres. Between them they hold 1201 of the 1450 branches in the directory (83%); the rest sit in country towns you'll find on the state pages.
Sydney is the deepest market we cover: 272 branches across 114 suburbs from 174 different wholesalers, so you can usually find the same line in three places within a 20-minute drive. At the other end, Port Macquarie has 3 branches, so it's worth ringing ahead before you drive.
A city page is generated only once a metro has at least three listed branches. Below that there's nothing meaningful to compare, and we won't ship a page for the sake of it. Branch assignment is by verified address coordinates to the nearest in-state CBD, so no branch is double-counted.

Common questions
Electrical wholesalers by city: FAQs
Which Australian cities have the most electrical wholesalers?
Sydney has the most electrical wholesaler branches we list (272), followed by Melbourne (241) and Brisbane (143). Across all 39 cities we cover, 1201 of our 1450 listed branches sit inside a metro area.
How do you decide which city a wholesaler belongs to?
Each branch is assigned to the nearest capital or major-city CBD in its own state, within that city's metro radius, using its verified street-address coordinates. A branch is never counted in two cities, and branches outside every metro radius stay on their state and suburb pages rather than being forced into a city.
Do you cover regional cities as well as the capitals?
Yes. Alongside the capitals we list 31 regional cities, including Newcastle (35 branches), Gold Coast (34 branches), Sunshine Coast (25 branches), Central Coast (18 branches). A city gets its own page once it has at least three listed branches, so a page only ever exists where there's a real choice to compare.
What if my town isn't listed here?
Smaller towns don't get a city page: with fewer than three branches there's nothing to compare. Use the state pages instead: they list every branch in the state down to the suburb, including the ones outside any metro area.
